Still At Home Camping In The Wild

Eco-tourism has become very popular these days amongst vacationers. Exploration of nature has become a major component of tourism. Initially the tourism industry concentrated on certain hot spots and promoted them brusquely, often as a place for mass tourism. But then a section of the vacationers prefer to skip these sites and move to as yet unexplored areas. They anticipate experiencing the unforeseen. Well visited tourist spots are most often too well organized. These could be wild life sanctuaries, beaches, mountains, water falls or rivers. But these astute vacationers opt to visit and experience the undeveloped tourist spots so to say. They know it means certain degree of hardship that they will have to endure. They arrive at such spots cycling, biking, trekking or hiking. Once the site is identified, they would like to settle down there for a few days and nights.

Often the place one selects to set up camp is uninhabited. There is also no immediate access to modern facilities. You will have to ensure that you carry with you all the essential items. This will require advance planning and preparation. Depending upon the climate and the environment in which you plan to stay for a few days, you will have to prepare a list of equipments and gears that you need to acquire. You know too well that all these are literally your survival pack, and you need to carry them in your backpack.

The primary concern while planning to go for a trip lasting few or several days will be the camping tent. Camping tents are available in different models. They vary in size and shape. Some can withstand harsh conditions while others do not. The extent of ventilation and amount of light allowed inside also varies from model to model. Some are costlier than others.

Making your brief sojourn secure and comfortable will mean that you take care of a number of essentials. It is related to your personal safety, health needs, your subsistence needs and navigational aids. All these are available with camping equipment dealers, specially packed for ease of transport and short duration stay. But then make sure that you do not over burden with too many things and in too large quantities. What you need will also depend on where you plan to camp and when you do it.
