Where Is The Best Place To Camp
This article looks at the different tastes that people may have in camping and encourages people to think for themselves when it comes to choosing the ‘best’ place to camp, expressing their own individuality as opposed to just going where everyone recommends, which will not be suitable for everyone.
Campers, it has to be said, are a little like fishermen. Others always seem to have a better story than you. If you have found the best tents, campsite or the best place to camp in the UK, then they have found the best place to camp in the world, if not the Universe. But there are some great places to camp in the UK and indeed the world, but it depends on what your personal preferences and likes are. What is good for one may not be enjoyed by another.
If you like noise, bustle, people always around, then you are going to love some of the bigger campsites that are around, where you can mingle with the other campers, enjoy some entertainment and have a good time.

This might not be a great camping experience for you however. You do not to be surrounded by people, instead you want the quiet life and to be somewhere where all you can hear is the rustle of the trees and the singing of the birds.
Commercially run campsites are pretty standard and the good campsites are ones that have the facilities that you want (and doesn’t have the ones that you don’t want).
You need the permission of the owner for a field that is not a designated campsite. However, in practice, it is not always possible to trace an owner and ensure that they give you permission.
Within the camping community you will often hear of camping sites that other people have used and they can tell you the best places to camp and where to avoid like the plague. There are lots of places that seem really good late in the afternoon when you set up camp, but in the morning you find out that it was not a good place to choose at all.
You also should figure out what you like and don’t like. What is right for one person might not be great for another, we are all different. Be your own person and follow your hart rather than following the crowd. With camping it is much better to go your own way and not about following others trends.
